I dono whether this is the right place to post this up, Mods please move it to right place if this is not bounce

Today I've spent half day to complete my first ever face up on two of the practice head i purchase last year Dec (finally) XD so now I need some advice on how to make it better.... Very Happy

I've used watercolor pencil for lines and soft pastels for blushing.... I felt the blushing is a bit too much though Razz

To the left is the second face up that I've complete, where right one is the first.

For your first attempt, have to say it's actually pretty good and would have to say to give yourself a pat in the back! I do think the second face-up is indeed better, but you are right on the blushing may be too much, imho.

What I recommend is using a small black of magic eraser and use that to take off some blushing; like just slightly patting to get the blushing all evenly and not so dark. Think also that your eyebrows are not too symmetrical and what I usually do is use the mirror to see the reflection and work on it. Or.. use that eyebrow tutorial in the forum is great too. XD Haha.

Also, do you use only one colour pastel for the skin tone? I would advise using a mixture of colours, like what I usually use is light brown, peach, white and pink and mix together, but all depends on you. :>

I do like how you made the lines, and they look pretty fine despite you used water colour pencils! I like the eyelashes you did. XD Still, good job and look forward to see you improve on face-upping!

Oh okie.... Hmm never try on mirror method yet, will try it next time^^

for the pastels I used several pastels to mix also^^ this blushing I mixed with Brown, pink, red and a bit of dark brown Razz to make it darker.

The lines I actually drawn and rub off quite a few times before it comes to this >.< but happy to see the end result quite good^^ Yosh~ will try on face up again next time and try other style if possible XD
