1 How do you store your dolls? on Sat Sep 01, 2012 5:17 pm

Do they live in their boxes at the top of your wardrobe at night?
Do you stand them on your bookshelf?
Do you have a doll sofa on a table for them to sit on?

Post your photos!

Currently, my one doll and two floating heads live on a bookshelf at the foot of my bed :9

(From left to right, kizon's head (Ninodoll Bada), Emaen Naral (BBB Weylin), and a practice head (Customhouse Iriya).)
The green body belongs to my housemate, I just stole it for a while to put one of my floating heads on while her head is still out being modded.
It's not a permanent setup, because that is kizon's sofa, and the WIP drawers will be put into his bedroom once I finish it. Emaen will get his own living space as well eventually, but in the mean time, he's just chilling on the sofa since kizon doesn't have legs to kick him with!!

For my case, my room is rather humid and I place my BJD in their original box with charcoal dehumidifier outside their boxes. Besides humidity, another problem in my room is dust Neutral if I place my BJD standing in my room for a week, most probably they are cover with a thin layer of dust... Rolling Eyes

They're stored in their bag! Hahahahahaha

Once in a while they're out in the open and reside on my book shelf, but they're usually in my bag cause my house is currently being horribly messy /)>__<(\

Maaaan I hear you on dust there, Rozene! If I still lived in the place I did last year, my resins would probably collect dust like nobody's business, since I don't actually play with them often except to change their hair/eyes/clothes/faceups or to photograph them.

silvy-- I should probably get a bag for my resins orz At least for kizon. Emaen came in a company box, but kizon is just a head, and the company I'm getting the body from doesn't have their own boxes (I'm getting the body sent unstrung) so I can't actually use that for kizon either lol.

syntheticality - Dust is the one thing that most collectors would be scratching their head because it is really a hassle to clean those dust especially the joint parts XD

Rozene-- Ha! Especially if they're hot-glue sueded! Mine seems to attract dust like nobody's business (I use this stuff for cosplay too, so I've noticed it for a while), and the hot-glue lining I put into my resins's joints rub and tear off pretty easily, so that also helps catch dust too!

Joining in, if that's okay Very Happy

This is where I store my dolls, at a shelf next to my bed in my room ♥

Not all of them are mine though, there are some guests over >w<

Yuura & Tousa (my 2 faceup-less heads) are stored nicely in the black box that Levant is resting his arm on ^_^

palettescope, that's a really nice set-up for your dolls. <3

As for me, Orpheus is forever sleeping in his coffin, not literally though LOL. I just keep him in his original box and place one pillow below and above him - to stop the dust from touching him. XD I plan on making an actual coffin-look-a-like though. :3 Hopefully, in the future, when I collect more dolls, I'll get a display cupboard and place them up on there. <3

PS: Just ignore the mess. LOL.
PPS: He's placed in this corner of the living room. XD
